Job Summary

In this role you will handle, move and store various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse. The main duties include loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Oversee and participate in the shipping, receiving, storing, material handling and placement of supplies, materials, and equipment in a timely manner.   
  • Material movement and inspection of products/goods for damage and conformity.   
  • Oversee and participate in the stocking of products; plan storage locations; determine proper location of supplies to allow for maximum space utilization.   
  • Serve in a flexible warehouse function role as it relates to material handling.  
  • Builds and prepares packaging of goods when required   
  • Picks/Packs/Ships all part orders scheduled daily through a variety of transport carriers.   
  • Other job duties as assigned   

  

Required Qualifications: 

 

  • High school diploma or GED required   
  • 2 years of either shipping, receiving, material handling, or material management experience.

  

Licensing or Certifications:

  • Forklift certification preferred

 

Competencies, Skills & Abilities:

  • Pallet/SKID Building is a plus

  • Heavy lifting
  • Skill or experience safely lifting and moving heavy objects while preventing injury, either alone or with a teammate.


 

ADA Requirements (For U.S. positions only):  

Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.  

  • Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods. 
  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job.  Visits to our manufacturing facility and suppliers’ facilities is required to monitor active projects and address design issues. 
  • Compliance with company attendance standards.  
  • Able to use a ladder and be in a tight confined space

  

Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and larger weights with proper equipment.  This job is located in an un air-conditioned warehouse.
