Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Ensure the guidelines, procedures, specifications and reports in the product blueprints are executed at the plant level and work with Supervisors to submit suggested improvements to the Operation Leader as needed.
- Ensure that quality standards are maintained and communicated to all plant employees.
- Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
- Perform visual inspections (VT), penetrant testing (PT), and quality checks on mechanical and electrical assemblies per customer and spec-defined standards.
- Maintain calibration and preventative maintenance records.
- Perform internal 5S, Safety, and process audits as part of a team.
- Compile test data and perform appropriate analyses.
- Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures, including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
- Train associates as needed.
- Participate in Quality Meetings and follow up on action items and improvements agreed upon.
- Provide Quality reference materials as needed, consisting of component standards, design folders, customer specifications, defect guides, etc.
- Maintain new start up approval process and ensure quick resolution of all nonconformances to specifications.
- Monitor and ensure clear rework/repair instructions are implemented to meet customer and compliance requirements.
- Report quality issues at plant level and report defects over allowable specifications to the Plant Manager.
- Maintain control of inspection, rework/repair, and report details of quality issues in log.
- Enter data for daily incoming, in process, and final product audits in SharePoint or on other forms as per quality procedures. Follow record retention guidelines.
- Review quality audit data and act with production team associates to make the necessary changes to improve product and process controls.
- Comply with company and safety guidelines.
- Review and sign off all new equipment shipping from the building. Confirm that all equipment has been manufactured to the correct, current and updated drawings.
- Other job duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing environment required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in manufacturing environments including fabrication, assembly, and testing.
- A demonstrated track record of communicating and training plant associates to achieve the quality standards required.
- Hands-on experience with quality inspections for mechanical, electrical, and control panel assemblies.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME, and customer-specific quality standards.
- Familiarity with WPS development and welder qualification tracking preferred.
- Exhibits thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Developed and implemented quality methodologies, procedures, and manuals.
- Proven background in in-process manufacturing inspection and final shipment certification.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus.
- Experience in supplier and subcontractor qualification, including performing audits.
- Hands-on experience in receiving inspection and continuous improvement efforts.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma experience a plus.
- Strong computer skills and fluency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of providing training to associates to support QA/QC processes.
- A demonstrated track record of communicating and training plant associates to achieve the quality standards required.
- Ability to prepare and implement new Quality documents, processes and metrics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASQ Certification (Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate); preferred
- ASNT Level 2 Certification in VT, PT, MT; preferred

- NDE — Level II in visual inspection (VT), penetrant testing (PT), magnetic particle testing (MT) preferred.

Knowledge In:

- Computers — Knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Travel: Occasional domestic travel may be required for supplier visits, training, or quality audits.
ADA Requirements (For U.S. positions only):
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Occasional lifting or moving of materials or equipment up to 100 lbs.
- Regular use of hands and fingers for inspection, documentation, and data entry tasks.
- Visual acuity required for detailed inspections, including use of NDT tools and test equipment.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
- Keying/typing, sitting, standing, walking.
- Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in a plant environment.
- The work is primarily performed in a heated/un air-conditioned manufacturing plant environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and production equipment.
- Compliance with company attendance and safety standards is required.
- Occasional travel may be required for supplier audits, training, or quality-related activities.
