The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth for the Kemco and Mefiag product portfolios within an assigned territory. This individual contributor role combines business development, strategic account management, channel partner development, and technical solution selling to expand market presence and achieve revenue objectives.

 

Acting as a trusted advisor, the Regional Sales Manager partners with customers, distributors, engineering firms, contractors, and internal teams to deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency, sustainability, water management, and environmental performance. The position is accountable for territory growth, customer acquisition, key account development, and commercial performance.

 

Your Responsibilities Will Be:

 

 Business Development

  • Develop and execute regional growth plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify and penetrate new markets, industries, applications, and customer segments.
  • Generate, qualify, and convert new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry engagement.
  • Build and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Identify, recruit, and develop relationships with distributors, agents, and channel partners.
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.

Sales & Account Management

  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Lead the sales process from prospecting through contract negotiation and closure.
  • Achieve established revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
  • Support contract renewals and long-term account retention initiatives.
  • Promote aftermarket opportunities, including spare parts, service agreements, retrofits, and upgrades.

Technical & Solution Selling

  • Understand customer processes, operational challenges, and business objectives.
  • Recommend technically and commercially viable solutions.
  • Deliver product presentations, technical discussions, and solution demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Applications, Operations, and Project Management teams to support solution development and proposal activities.
  • Support customers throughout project execution and implementation.

Market Development

  • Support the expansion and adoption of Kemco and Mefiag products within targeted industries and geographic markets.
  • Establish strategic relationships with contractors, engineering firms, consultants, and system integrators.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, industry associations, and customer events.
  • Communicate customer feedback, market trends, and competitive insights to support business planning and product development.

CRM & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate customer, account, and opportunity information within CRM systems.
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts, territory plans, and business reviews.
  • Monitor performance against revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, forecast accuracy, market conditions, and competitive intelligence.
  • Maintain CRM accuracy and forecast reliability

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in technical sales, industrial sales, business development, or account management.
  • Proven track record of developing, closing, and growing new business opportunities.
  • Experience selling capital equipment, engineered solutions, industrial systems, or technical products.
  • Experience managing multi-state territories, strategic accounts, or large customer portfolios.
  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasts, and territory plans.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, filtration, fluid handling, chemical processing, or related industrial markets.
  • Experience launching new products or expanding into new markets.
  • Experience working with distributors, manufacturer representatives, and channel partners.
  • Experience selling into food and beverage, commercial laundry, metal finishing, plating, anodizing, manufacturing, or industrial processing environments.
  • Experience working within a global or international organization.
  • Experience with project-based sales cycles and engineered-to-order products.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar CRM platforms.
  • Engineering background or technical education supporting industrial applications.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout industrial and customer facilities.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to safely work in industrial environments while utilizing required PPE.

 

Travel Requirements: 40% - 60% Domestic Travel; Occasional International Travel
